Here are five natural, relatively inexpensive options to improve the health of your skin:
1. Acidophilus…I like DDS Plus from UAS Laboratories. Acidophilus is AWESOME for acne. Acidophilus improves your digestion; your skin is a big elimination organ, and so if your digestion is screwed up, the toxins tend to come through your skin in the form of acne.
2. Aloe vera plant…Yes, you can buy aloe vera gel in bottles, but it’s much better to use it fresh from the plant. Just cut off a leaf, cut it open length-wise, and spread it on your skin. Aloe vera will help heal nearly any type of skin condition, from sunburn to cuts.
3. Coconut oil…It comes in a jar and appears to be really solid, but if you spoon out a chunk and hold that piece in your hands for a few seconds, it warms up and melts down. Spread it on your skin and let it dry a few minutes before putting clothing on over it. Coconut oil is really good for dry skin and can also be used for skin rashes.
4. Colloidal silver water or gel…You can buy both at health food stores. The colloidal silver gel just spreads on like lotion; with the colloidal silver water, you would need to dab it on the affected area with cotton balls. Colloidal silver water and gel are two things that are good for nearly every type of skin condition. I’ve personally used them on cuts and food allergy rashes.
5. Vitamin E oil…Like many of the products previously mentioned, spread it on nearly any type of skin problem. My mom, for example, regularly spread it all across her stomach while she was pregnant with me to prevent getting stretch marks, and it must have worked, because she doesn’t have any stretch marks.

There are, of course, many other natural remedies for skin problems, but I cannot possibly list them all in one post. Feel free to comment regarding natural remedies you’ve tried for your skin! I would love to hear about them.
